The safety of everyone is paramount for Rodeo patrons to enjoy a fun atmosphere. Please note that all personal belongings (such as purses , camera cases, back packs, strollers, etc.) Anyone refusing to be searched will not be allowed on the Rodeo grounds.
You must have a Reliant Park Admission ticket ($15 adults, $5 kids ages 3-12), Rodeo /concert ticket, or season pass to enter the carnival area. Save time and get your Reliant Park Admission ticket online, too. It’s not discounted, but you won’t have to stand in line to get in!
Weekend rodeos start at 3:45 p.m. The entertainer takes the stage at approximately 5:45 p.m. NRG Stadium gates open at 3 p.m.
The Super Series is a 19-day tournament-style competition that crowns an event champion in bareback riding , bull riding , saddle bronc riding , steer wrestling, tie-down roping, team roping and women’s barrel racing.
Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (NFR) move to The Cowboy Channel (TCC) and RFD-TV beginning in 2020. The performances will also be streamed on the PRCA on Cowboy Channel Plus app. The PRCA on Cowboy Channel Plus app users will be able to stream events both live and recorded.
If you ‘re feeding picky eaters, you can bring your own food and drinks onto the grounds. The only place you cannot take outside food and drinks is into NRG Stadium for the Rodeo and concerts. The shortest line for restrooms tends to be on the second level of the NRG Center.
2021 Houston Rodeo Tickets The 2021 Houston Rodeo dates are May 4th to May 23rd at NRG Stadium. Moving the Houston Rodeo dates back from its normal March time frame is to make sure the ’21 event goes off without a hitch. The 20 day /night event will start on a Tuesday and end two weeks later on Sunday night.
The granddaddy of rodeo events, Cheyenne Frontier Days has been held in its namesake Wyoming town since 1897. The outdoor rodeo and western celebration features hundreds of horses performing rodeo events and track acts.
For the safety concerns of patrons, NRG Park may refuse entry of individuals in possession of prohibited items including, but not limited to: sealed packages of any kind, bottles or cans, coolers or containers, outside food or beverage (Exceptions are made for medical reasons and children).
In 2015 the rodeo began prohibiting concealed carry and began wanding visitors who entered the grounds. This year they will use magnetometers not unlike what is used at Houston Texans games to check for prohibited items. Legal pocket knives will still be allowed on the grounds, he notes.
When a clear bag policy is in effect, NRG Park strongly encourages fans not to bring any bags, however, the following will be permitted : one clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bag no larger than 12” x 6” x 12”, a one gallon clear plastic ziploc bag (or similar), or a small clutch purse no larger than 4.5” x 6.5”.
