The NRG Stadium & NFL Clear Bag Policy strictly limits the size and types of bags that are permitted. Fans may carry in a small clutch purse no larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″, approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap. These small clutches are subject to search.
When a clear bag policy is in effect, NRG Park strongly encourages fans not to bring any bags, however, the following will be permitted : one clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bag no larger than 12” x 6” x 12”, a one gallon clear plastic ziploc bag (or similar), or a small clutch purse no larger than 4.5” x 6.5”.
In 2015 the rodeo began prohibiting concealed carry and began wanding visitors who entered the grounds. This year they will use magnetometers not unlike what is used at Houston Texans games to check for prohibited items. Legal pocket knives will still be allowed on the grounds, he notes.

If you ‘re feeding picky eaters, you can bring your own food and drinks onto the grounds. The only place you cannot take outside food and drinks is into NRG Stadium for the Rodeo and concerts.

All NRG Stadium gates open 90 minutes prior to kickoff. We strongly encourage guests to arrive early as all guests must go through security prior to entering the stadium .
Strollers are allowed at the rodeo and are very necessary as there is a lot of walking. If you do plan to attend the concert, there are stroller checks inside the stadium.

Check the start times on the day of your event, but on weekdays the gates usually open at 6pm with the rodeo starting at 6:45pm and the entertainer at 8:45pm . On weekends, the gates can open as early at 3pm, with the rodeo starting at 3:45pm and the entertainer taking the stage at approximately 5:45pm.

How much does it cost to park at NRG Stadium ? You can buy a parking pass for the official lots for $27-$150+, depending on proximity to the stadium . If you don’t mind walking, you can find and reserve a spot for $20 within a half mile of the stadium .
