Admission to the Stock Show (including the carnival midway) costs $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 6-16. Children five and under get in free. On-site parking costs $12 per vehicle.

General Admission provides you access to the FWSSR grounds, which includes many of the Stock Show’s features. Does not include rodeo admission.
Texas law allows a person licensed to carry their handgun onto the City of Fort Worth -owned Stock Show grounds except for the following areas where handguns are prohibited: Will Rogers Coliseum when professional rodeo events are taking place (Jan. 19-Feb. 6).
General admission also includes access to three museums on the Stock Show grounds–the Cattle Raisers Museum , the National Cowgirl Museum , and the Science and History Museum . All the actual rodeo shows–bull riding and FWSSR PRORODEO tournaments–require a $30 ticket and take place in Dickies Arena.
According to JobMonkey.com, the pay for rodeo clowns ranges from $100 to $500 per event; full-time clowns can make as much as $50,000 per year, based on working 60 to 100 events a year.
Other animal welfare groups, including the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), also object to rodeos . The ASPCA calls them “a cruel form of entertainment that involves the painful, stressful and potentially harmful treatment of livestock”.
The Bottom Line: The Bulls Aren’t Hurt Nothing at all is done to these animals to make them react in a certain way to avoid pain. After the ride is over, the bull usually stops bucking shortly after the rider’s weight is gone.
